What makes it Homer Brewing
Homer Brewing describes its country ales as unfiltered, unpasteurized and never force-carbonated. Live yeast lets each keg carbonate naturally, building depth, a silky mouthfeel and character over time.
Traditional styles begin with straightforward ingredients and a respect for the classics.
Yeast creates the beer's structure, aroma and distinctive character.
The beer keeps working instead of being filtered into uniformity.
Natural carbonation develops in the keg rather than being forced in.
A rotating style is served through a traditional beer engine for the full real-ale experience.
Thirty years at the end of the road
Homer Brewing Company grew from the Q & Q Guild homebrew cooperative and the shared work of Steve McCasland, Lasse Holmes and Karen Berger. The idea was simple: carve out a livelihood in Homer and make beer worth gathering around.
That same independent spirit still fits the place. Walk in from Lakeshore Drive, grab a traditional ale, sit outside when the weather cooperates and bring dinner from one of Homer's local restaurants.

Spring specialty
Skyline Spruce Tip Ale is a medium-bodied amber ale brewed with local spruce tips and a light addition of Cascade hops. Refreshing, pleasantly tart and full of Alaska character.
